Cheers to Champs!

I haven’t blogged in a while, and it feels good to start again. Writing has always been one of my favorite things and I definitely want to prioritize it as an important part of each day.

And since this is the first post in a while, why not make it something totally fun?

Champagne is my favorite beverage (by far) and I love that it is a symbol of celebration. Lately in life, there has been so much to celebrate! Hellos, goodbyes, new experiences, special days, regular days…they’re all worth celebrating! So why not do it in one of the best possible ways?

I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to this bubbly drink, and it’s so fun to pin cute finds to it…whether they be champagne drink ideas or champagne quotes or just cool pictures of the cocktail. Super fun to pin, look back on, and find uses for. Definitely one of my most exciting boards!

I hope that you have been finding many, many reasons and ways to celebrate! Cheers.

Pop, Fizz, Clink

One of my favorite beverages in the entire world is champagne. I’m not quite sure how this obsession started, but it exists nonetheless.

There is something about champagne that is so appealing to me. The taste, the bubbles, the elegance of it, and just the feeling of being celebratory is fun and exciting.

Since I love Kate Spade and all of their bags, shoes, and accessories, I also enjoy their “always in the mood for champagne” attitude. Their Instagram is filled with pictures of champagne and they often use the saying, “Pop, Fizz, Clink” about this classy cocktail, which is so clever and cute.

As much as I love champagne, I also love the fact that it reminds me that there is always something to celebrate!

Cheers!

a little bubbly, anyone?

Birthday Fun and Cakes

Today was my little sister’s 18th birthday! I can’t believe what an amazing person she has grown up to be! I am so lucky to have her in my life and as my best friend. I am also happy to have spent this special day with her since she’s been staying with me here at Quinnipiac during the hurricane. Happy birthday Kim!

With that said, I LOVE birthdays. I love my own birthday (a lot!) and I also love celebrating other people’s! A birthday is the one day of the year that is completely all about you…and that is always something to be excited about!

I like going all out for birthdays of the people I care about. I love making them feel loved and appreciated on their very special days. One of my favorite ways to do this is by baking them their favorite stuff…birthday cakes, cookies, brownies, and so on. Baking is already one of my favorite things, but holiday baking is the icing on the cake (no pun intended!).

I’ve baked tons of different cakes to appease everyone’s favorite flavors. A mint cake, lemon cakes, key lime cakes, plain old chocolate, a monkey cake…even a cupcake cake shaped like an owl (Pinterest inspired, of course)! Getting really creative with them is so fun and always makes my family and friends really happy because you’ve shown them how much you care.

Birthdays are such a fun thing to celebrate, and I can’t wait to keep doing so with those closest to me for a long time to come!
