Paper, Please!: Hot off the Press

If you don’t already love Lifeguard Press, you will after reading this post.

LP is a great site for stationery and an even better site for gifts. Gifts that I call “Odds and Ends” gifts. Like…when you’re not sure what to get someone. Or…when you have a gift but want to add a little something more.

They carry great brands like Lilly Pulitzer and Jonathan Adler. The stuff is all super cute. What else could you ask for?

Here are some of my favorite LP pieces right now:

Watermelon Crawl: Pink and Green

What could be more preppy than the color combination of pink and green? I’m gonna go with…just about nothing.

Not only is pink and green the epitome of preppy, though, it’s also super adorable. And great for summer. And, pretty much, every other time of the year.

That being said, there are tons of great pink and green products out there right now just waiting to be purchased, used, worn, and shown off.

Here are some of my favorites:

pink and green

Flatiron Nylon Maryanne | Cora Dress | Double Wrap Bracelet | Woven Chevron Pillow | Ahoy Matey Maybook | Custom Jacks | Oxford Chino Shorts | Tiny Bits Clutch | Daisy Daisy Bracelet

Keep in mind this is a great color combo not only to use in clothes and accessories, but also when it comes to decorating, buying stationery, wrapping a gift, and so on. You can never go wrong with a little pink and green!

Paper, Please!: Express Yourself

I love, love, LOVE stationery. Everything about it. I’m kind of a stationery collector.

And, one of the first sites I ever ordered personalized stationery off of was Expressionery.

This is a fabulous site (which actually just got redone! And looks great, might I add). They are all around wonderful. They have great stuff, great prices, great sales, and all-around awesome products. You get a lot for what you pay for – they give you tons of whatever you order, which is great.

They have items in almost every style you want – from simple to preppy to floral to whimsical.

They also have tons of different things – from folded notes to address labels to personalized calendars and journals.

Whether you’re shopping for yourself or someone else, you’re bound to find something you like on Expressionery.

Here are some of my favorite things from their current collections:

What do you think? Pretty cute, right!?

Paper, Please: Coasters

I really, really, REALLY love Paper-Source. We just got the store in the town next to mine, and since they’ve opened I’ve visited more times than I care to admit. The first time I ever saw the sign for it going up there I just about drove off the road. Too exciting to handle!

Anyways, they recently announced a new line of custom made coasters for events. These are an untraditional item that are such an awesome idea! The perfect touch to any party.

They have them for all kinds of events, from graduation parties to weddings to birthday parties to family reunions. They also have personalized ones as hostess gifts, which I think is an awesome gift that any entertainer would love to receive! I mean, they’re totally useful and oh-so-adorable and whimsical.

What I also love about these is that you can customize the color of the font and choose either matte or foil-metallic inks. So cool! I also think they’re reasonably priced for how incredibly awesome they are!

Here are some of my favorites:

Which do you like the best? Which event do you think they’re most suited for?

Paper, Please!: Many Thanks

I consider thank you cards to be very important. Like, seriously! I send them out whenever someone does something for me or gives me a gift. I send them out within a week after my birthday or Christmas. Yeah, I’m pretty OCD about them.

I value politeness. A lot. I can’t stand rudeness. In any capacity.

This is one of the reasons I feel so strongly about thank you’s.

Another reason though is because I feel so very happy and appreciated when I get one from someone else. It’s so nice to know someone is reaching out to you simply to say thanks.

After all, who doesn’t love getting mail?!

I have a long list of favorite stationery for thank you’s. Here are just some:

thanks

Vintage Marquis | Kaleidoscope | Magic Wand | Grow Happiness | Personal Petals | Classic Monogram

Cute, right?! There are a million picks out there that are so great, but these are some of my current favorites!

What are your favorite stationery picks to use when sending thank you’s?

Paper, Please!: Recipe Recordings

I love recipe books and I also love, love, love baking! I am also starting to love cooking more and more as time goes on.

Therefore, I think it’s super important to keep track of your recipes in some kind of organized way. About a year ago I started keeping a recipe book. It’s really organized and I only add recipes in that I’d bake again, that way I know which the good ones are. Sometimes I try so many that it’s hard to keep track!

There are different ways you can keep track of your recipes, from boxes to binders to books. I love the idea when you’re older and have kids of taking pictures of them making your favorite recipes throughout the year and having a photo book cookbook made for them! But for now, these organization systems are great:

recipe books

Garden by the Sea White Recipe Box | Cherry Cupcake Binder | Maybooks Create Your Own | Rag, Bone, & Bindery | Raspberry Recipe Box | Paperchase Book

Which do you like best? How do you currently organize your recipes, especially on Pinterest?! I’m looking for a way to tackle organizing my “baking” board, I’d love to hear your ideas!

Constant Obsessions

Recently blogged about my latest obsessions that had come about. While those obsessions were definitely fun and I am still obsessing over some of them, they are far from my constant obsessions.

There are simply some things that I’m always loving, always have, and probably always will!

There are actually a bunch of these things, but here are my favorite and the ones that I’m most obsessed with:

constant obsessions

  1. Bows – I. LOVE. BOWS. Big bows, little bows, bows on clothes, bows on bags, patterned bows, solid bows…whatever. I love them all and have quite the collection that will probably never stop growing.
  2. Bags – ever since I was little I’ve loved designer bags and have a large collection of them. There is always a bag I’m coveting and, not to brag, but I have the cutest bags. Ever. And I love them all. I’m a little too obsessed with bags, and every holiday vow that I’m not going to put one on my “want” list because I have enough. Needless to say, though, I always end up unwrapping one despite my silent vow.
  3. Chocolate – I have had a huge sweet tooth for chocolate for as long as I can remember. I love chocolate cake, chocolate candy, chocolate icing – basically anything chocolate has my name written alllllll over it!
  4. Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee – I especially love coconut of this, but I’ll take almost any flavor. I really do run on Dunkin.
  5. Stationery – I am a huge stationery lover and literally have bins upon bins of it. I love sending hand written thank you notes and letters and think it is very important, and will probably never see the need to stop buying stationery.
  6. Navy blue and white – I have serious issues when it comes to this obsession, as when I’m shopping I tend to buy so much of this color combination. I love the nautical feel of it and how great it looks with gold. Definitely an all-time favorite!
  7. My laptop – I cannot live without my laptop and do almost everything on it. It’s actually sickening how much time I spend on it per day!

What are your constant obsessions that you’ll never outgrow?
